HOW TO GET TO THE PERHENTIAN ISLAND
To get to the Perhentian Island or Pulau Perhentian (in Malay), The only way to go there is by the sea especially a boat services from Kuala Besut. So FIRST you have to get to Kuala Besut Jetty. A town from where boats to the Perhentian Island leave. SECOND, take a boat from Kuala Besut jetty to one of the Perhentian Island (Perhentian Besar or Perhentian Kecil). Decide beforehand what island and which beach you want to go.
